You'll be greeted with a friendly smile from a member of our staff. We will try to make you feel right at home.
So we can get to know you better, we will first have you fill out the new patient paperwork. You can download these forms from our website by clicking here. If you are in pain, one of the wonderful team members will help you fill out forms. Paperwork will vary according to your situation. (i.e. insurance, personal injury, worker's compensation, etc...)
Next, we will give you a tour of the office and bring you to the exam room. She will go over your paperwork and answer any questions you may have about your initial visit. The doctor will then talk with you and discuss your health history. She will obtain two computer scans of your spine to check for nerve function and abnormal activity. These scans are state-of-the-art and both are completely painless and non-invasive.
Dr. Settimi will ask you a variety of questions related to your health and history. She will ask you questions concerning your present condition(s) and explain your spinal scan results to you in detail. Sometimes the exam may include orthopedic, neurological testing, special gait and a posture analysis. Dr. Settimi will give you her recommendations concerning x-rays of your spine if they are needed.
If x-rays are needed, Dr. Settimi will take the x-rays with minimal exposure techniques for your benefit. After the x-rays are finished, you will be escorted to the front desk to schedule an appointment for your report of findings, or Dr. Settimi may choose to adjust you on your first visit.
Please note: Length of time required for the first visit is approximately 45 to 90 minutes. This will enable our office time to address your situation thoroughly.
